An exceptional running experience - celebration was experienced by 11,000 Greek and foreign runners on Saturday 19/10 in Thessaloniki, as part of the International Night Half Marathon, which culminated with the Onirama concert that same evening, at the Ampelokipi-Menemeni Municipal Stadium.
The 25-member AUTODIA running team gave a great performance, participating in the 5 km Health & Power Walking Run, successfully finishing and sending its own message for the promotion of health sports for amateur athletes, wellness and improving the quality of life with music, but also, namely, the social inclusion of runners with disabilities and vulnerable social groups.
The program included the 5 km & 10 km Health Runs, the Family Mile and the 21 km Half Marathon, with new routes and parallel events, which culminated in a concert by the popular band ONIRAMA, with free entrance, which performed a number of favorite Greek and foreign songs, with the support of AUTODIA as the Honorary Supporter of Social Responsibility of the running event.
The great running festival was enjoyed by people of all ages, from the elderly to one-year-old babies who participated in a stroller with their parents. Also present were long-distance champions, Paralympians, people with disabilities, as well as personalities from the city and the country.
The Thessaloniki International Night Half Marathon is organized by MEAS TRITON with the institutional cooperation of the Municipalities of Ampelokipi-Menemeni, Kordelio-Evosmos and Pavlos Melas, with the institutional support of SEGAS and EAS SEGAS Thessaloniki, as well as the Region of Central Macedonia, under its auspices.
It is also held under the auspices of the Greek National Commission for UNESCO, the Ministry of Interior (Macedonia - Thrace), the Ministry of Culture and Sports - General Secretariat of Sports, the Ministry of Tourism - Hellenic Tourism Organization and the Ministry of National Defense. At the same time, it is supported by a number of Institutional, Support and Voluntary Bodies.
