AUTODIA sponsored the 8th Strategic Conference “Investments in Greece & Development Prospects 2021 organized on July 14th at the Greek Stock Market by the Athens Chamber of Commerce (ΕΕΑ)  and the Hellenic Institute of Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development (IEA), under the auspices of the Ministries of Environment & Energy and Infrastructure & Transport as well as the Region of Attica.

In the frame of the Conference, AUTODIA CEO Ms. Margarita Panagiotopoulou gave a speech on “The impact of the pandemic on cultural entrepreneurship: the example of AUTODIA”, in which she presented important financial data regarding the strong productivity growth of Cultural & Creative Industries (CCIs) and their contribution to the European economy.

Moreover, she outlined the importance and role of the CMOs for creators, through the example of AUTODIA and the activity it has developed to date and referred to the great challenges and prospects of the industry to exit the health crisis.  Finally, she pointed out the contribution of Art to society by creating in citizens a sense of confidence, wellbeing, and optimism for the future, as well as the need for innovative synergies of the cultural and creative sector with Tourism and other sectors of the economy in order to contribute creatively to the digital and green transition of European countries.

The Conference was attended by many political officers and entrepreneurs including, among others, indicatively, the Ministers of: Finance Mr. Ch. Staikouras, State & Digital Governance Mr. K. Pierrakakis, Development & Investments Mr. A. Georgiadis, Environment & Energy Mr. K. Skrekas, Citizen Protection Mr. M. Chrysochoidis, Infrastructure & Transport Mr. K. Karamanlis, Internal Affairs Mr. M. Voridis, Labor & Social Affairs Mr. K. Hatzidakis, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. M. Varvitsiotis, the Regional Governor of Attica Mr. G. Patoulis, the President of the Hellenic Development Bank Mr. H. Lampropoulos, the President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce Mr. I. Chatzitheodosiou and the President of the Hellenic Institute of Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development Mr. A. Giannelos.

The Conference focused on the new economic reality and the need to create a climate of confidence in the market, driven by growth, extroversion, innovation, and energy efficiency, leading to a new model of entrepreneurship. It is an initiative of cooperation of EEA and IEA, professional sectors, and productive structures, to create a new sustainable-productive Model of Economic Reconstruction, the preparation and implementation of a National Development Plan, while presenting their initiatives and positions to address the impact of the pandemic.
