Μajor challenges and issues in the music industry were raised during the SUMMUS - BARCELONA MUSIC SUMMIT 2022 held at BMAT’s offices in Spain. AUTODIA’s Chief Technology Officer, Manolis Dimitriadis, and Business Process Manager, Vassilis Charalampopoulos, attended the meeting, exchanging opinions and information with people from various areas of the music industry, in the context of the presentations, but also in individual meetings.

Μajor challenges and issues in the music industry were raised during the SUMMUS - BARCELONA MUSIC SUMMIT 2022 held at BMAT’s offices in Spain. AUTODIA’s Chief Technology Officer, Manolis Dimitriadis, and Business Process Manager, Vassilis Charalampopoulos, attended the meeting, exchanging opinions and information with people from various areas of the music industry, in the context of the official presentations, but also in individual meetings.

During the meeting, critical issues in the industry were discussed, such as:

  • How will the transfer of music copyright to financial institutions affect music creation and what are the motivations behind the music rights industry.
  • How new technologies, such as NFTs, interact with the current challenges facing the music industry today.
  • How music publishing differs in China, its current early stage and the amazing possibilities that are presented.
  • The problems created in the market by the fragmentation of rights and the forces pushing in this direction.
  • The rise of streaming services and the integration of gaming in them.
  • The challenges the music industry faces in licensing and processing music royalties for VOD services.
  • The measurement systems for determining the Charts and how these can evolve.
