AUTODIA - December 2025 Distribution (2025S2): Royalties over €15M to creators and rights holders

AUTODIA creators and rights holders will receive royalties of over €15M for H2 2025. This amount appears to have increased by 15% compared to the corresponding H2 2024. The dispatch of the payments for the December 2025 Distribution began on Friday, December 19th.

A European court has issued a landmark ruling in the legal dispute between GEMA and OpenAI. The Munich Regional Court ruled that OpenAI’s chatbot, ChatGPT, violated German copyright laws by using, without permission, hits by commercial artists such as Herbert Groenemeyer, Helene Fischer and other well-known German creators, to train its language models.
