Royalties over €13m are distributed to AUTODIA’s rightsholders

With December 2024 Distribution, AUTODIA will have distributed a total of approximately €13,100,000 in gross royalties for the 2nd Semester of 2024 to its members - composers, songwriters, lyricists and music publishers - as well as to sister societies. Committed to distribute steadily increased royalties, the leading Greek Collective Management Organization will have distributed a total of approximately €10,600,000 in net royalties for the 2nd Semester of 2024. The amount is distributed to all rightsholders/members of the Society and is increased by 35% compared to the corresponding 2nd Semester of 2023 (approximately €7,820,000).

The Distribution 2024S2 includes the following royalty sources, all of which showed an increase: Public Performance (by mechanical means), Live Performance, Television, Radio, Cinemas, Online, Mechanical Reproduction (independent productions, BIEM/IFPI), Major Live Concerts, Licenses for Audiovisual Productions (Synchro), Private Copy and Royalties from abroad.

In total, in 2024, 1st & 2nd Semester, AUTODIA will have distributed approximately €22,700,000 in gross royalties, corresponding to net royalties of approximately €18,220,000, which successfully seals the many years of loyalty and hard work of all its people, for the benefit of its creators and other rightsholders.

In Distribution 2024S2, royalties from Live Performance (concerts, fairs, live) recorded an increase of 193%, compared to the distribution of the corresponding semester last year. Television (+33%) and Radio (+287%) -public and private stations-, Mechanical Royalties (+82%), Private Copy (+39%) and Licenses for Audiovisual Productions (+41%) also followed an upward trend, always in relation to the 2nd Semester of 2023.

Cinema royalties rose sharply, with 17 cinema companies/chains participating in this Distribution.

The increase in royalties from sister societies (+113%) was also notable. AUTODIA collects and distributes royalties from 85 contracted CMOs in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and Asia.
