A licensing agreement with the subscription service Cosmote TV was signed by AUTODIA, regulating the payment of music royalties for the year 2020, while the agreement for the current year is imminent.
It is noteworthy that, through this important agreement, it was acknowledged that most of the music repertoire used by Cosmote TV belongs to the represented Greek and international repertoire of AUTODIA’s members and sister societies, which exceeds 25,500,000 works, a fact that confirms the dominant position of our Organization in the Greek market.
Under the agreement it was acknowledged that this percentage of AUTODIA amounted to 65% for the year 2020. Moreover, this percentage is constantly increasing, due to the high influx of new members, and has exceeded 70% for the current year, as it was confirmed by a recent study of renowned Professors at Panteion University.
AUTODIA continues the negotiations and contacts with the whole range of music users, with the aim of concluding licensing agreements and protecting the rights of its members and rightsholders.
