The negotiations between AUTODIA and the Culture, Sports & Youth Organization of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA) were successfully completed, which led to the signing of a licensing agreement between the two bodies.
The agreement, dated 1/9/2021 with effect till 31/12/2022, stipulates the payment of royalties, regarding the use of the entire Greek and international represented repertoire of AUTODIA, based on its Tariffs, concerning:
- The public performance in outdoor and indoor areas of OPANDA: concerts, music events.
- The public performance / availability to the public via internet, with the following methods: a. live streaming and b. on demand, through OPANDA’s website and social media, by users / individuals, for private use.
In addition, the contract includes provision for the payment of the corresponding royalties, for the case of simultaneous, with live streaming, retransmission of recorded concerts, with free access to the public, through OPANDA’s website and social media, as well as for the case of simultaneous physical and digital presence of the public (hybrid event).
The Municipality of Athens, with OPANDA and Technopolis as its main cultural pillars, has launched a single program of cultural events for all, organizing every year a number of concerts, theatrical performances and dance performances, as well as educational programs for all ages.
The report of the artistic events of 2020, despite the pandemic, had a positive sign: 116 events, with over 31,000 physical spectators and 8,000 digital spectators, while 780 artists and art workers in general were involved in the events. The cultural program of the Municipality of Athens for the summer of 2021 was particularly rich and interesting.
AUTODIA represents over 25,500,000 Greek and international musical works and has concluded representation agreements with 75 CMOs worldwide. The Organization continues the negotiations and contacts with the whole range of music users and their representative bodies, with the aim of completing licensing agreements and protecting the rights of its members and rightsholders.
