The largest distribution in AUTODIA’s history will take place in December.

The first self-managed Collective Management Organisation of Greek composers, authors and music publishers, meeting the purposes of its establishment and operation with consistency, reliability and transparency, proceeds to the distribution of royalties amounting to over 4,500,000 euros (gross amount) to its represented members, creators and other rightsholders, as well as to sister societies.

The large December’s distribution covers the periods 2018, 2019, 2020 and the 1st Semester of 2021, and includes royalties from all revenue sources: Public Performance (background), Concerts (live), Television, Radio, Online, Royalties from Abroad, Mechanical Rights (independent productions) and Private Copy.

This is the first time that AUTODIA will distribute to its members royalties from Private Copy Levy (Article 18 of Law 2121/93).

In addition, for the first time Greek composers and authors, members of the Organization, will receive royalties from their works’ uses on major music streaming platforms, such as YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Facebook, Instagram, Oculus etc., in accordance with the successful agreement on multi-territory online licensing for major DSPs, signed by AUTODIA and Mint Digital Services. In the near future, revenues from online royalties are expected to multiply for the Organization.

It is very important that, in these critical times for creators’ rights and in the midst of a dramatically prolonged pandemic, AUTODIA was able not only to collect royalties from all the above revenue sources, offsetting the impact of the two-year crisis, but also to process and distribute these amounts, using all modern documentation and distribution tools at its disposal.

The completion of this distribution is due to the coordinated actions of the management and its experienced and specialized staff, the successful agreements signed with the entire range of the market the preceding period, the continuous upgrade of its technological infrastructure, as well as to the unique access to specialized tools provided by CISAC for AUTODIA, its only certified partner in Greece.

It’s worth noting that AUTODIA’s distributions take place in accordance with all international standards and best practices, while the Organization provides also its members with access to all data related to their distributions, through the innovative Distribution Portal for Members which follows the concept and functionality of respective tools of the largest European CMOs.

In the next period, members will be informed with a new release about the exact payment dates and then distribution reports will follow, including the revenue sources in detail, the periods of use and the total amount corresponding to each rightsholder.
