The delivery of distribution reports concerning the payments of the Greek music authors and other rightsholders began on December 21st, in the context of the largest royalty distribution in AUTODIA’s history.

The leading Greek Collective Management Organization of music copyright, performing with credibility, transparency, and dedication its vital catalytic role in the collective management field, distributes to its members -composers, lyricists, music publishers- as well as to sister societies, gross royalties amounting to €8,000,000 up by 88.9% from the previous distribution July 2022.

This large AUTODIA Distribution will be delivered in two phases - December 2022 and January 2023 - and will be followed by a third, additional distribution in the 1st Half 2023, featuring the reduction of the weighted average deduction fee, from 25% in the immediately preceding distribution, at 20%.

This fact confirms the great progress and steady development of the Organization in recent years and at the same time rewards the coordinated efforts, strategic partnerships and targeted communications of its management and staff.

It is worth noting that AUTODIA is the only Greek Organization that distributes music royalties from all revenue sources: Public Performance, Live Concerts, TV, Radio, Online -from Greece and other territories (Europe, America, Asia, etc.)-, Cinemas, Royalties from Sister Societies, Mechanical Rights, Mechanical from Audiovisual Works (Synchro) and Private Copy.

A remarkable increase of +56.38% was recorded in Royalties from Sister Societies. This valuable revenue source for Greek composers and lyricists concerns royalties from usages of their music and songs in countries throughout Europe, Asia, America, and Australia. It is the 6th consecutive Distribution of AUTODIA featuring royalties from leading Sister Societies around the world.

AUTODIA invests in the digital era with innovative and technological solutions, regarding the licensing of digital music platforms since the evolution and future of music industry is inextricably linked to the internet.

The online royalties distributed by AUTODIA to its members, derive from the use of the represented repertory in more than 50 streaming music services, which operate in 250+ territories around the world -including Greece- such as YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, iTunes, Deezer, Facebook, Instagram, etc.

The large AUTODIA Distribution will include, among others, royalties from Greek terrestrial digital TV channels (e.g., Open, Ant1, Star, ERT), pay-tv platforms (e.g., Cosmote, Nova, Wind), as well as, for the first time in Greece, royalties from Netflix, the popular audiovisual streaming service.

AUTODIA’s market share in Greece has now exceeded 85%. The admission of SACEM French repertoire, the enrollment and re-integration of large Greek repertoires, as well as the start of cooperation with the major music publishers, are admittedly a huge success for the Organization which now represents the entire foreign repertoire in Greece.
