Collective Agreement between AUTODIA and Union of Hellenic Chambers of Commerce

On Monday February 6th, a Collective Agreement was signed between the CMO AUTODIA and the Union of Hellenic Chambers of Commerce (UHCC), in the presence of the Minister of Culture & Sports Ms. Lina Mendoni. The agreement, which regulates the landscape of music royalties for the period 2018-2022, concerns the issuing of the public performance licence, acquired by businesses to use music on their premises.

On Monday February 6th, 2023, a Collective Agreement was signed between the CMO AUTODIA and the Union of Hellenic Chambers of Commerce (UHCC), in the presence of the Minister of Culture & Sports Ms. Lina Mendoni. The agreement, which regulates the landscape of music royalties for the period 2018-2022, concerns the issuing of the public performance licence, acquired by businesses to use music on their premises.

The event, which took place in the Amphitheater of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, was attended from AUTODIA by the BoD Chairman Mr. Yiannis Glezos, the Vice-President Mr. Ilias Filippou, the BoD member Mr. Thanasis Polykandriotis and the composer Mr. Dimitris Papadimitriou. Also present were the Head of Legal Service Mr. Ioannis Maragoudakis and the Commercial Director Mr. Ioannis Giokas.

The event was attended from UHCC by the President Mr. Ioannis Masoutis, the President of the Chamber of Xanthi and President of the Copyright Committee Mr. Stelios Moraitis, as well as Presidents from several Chambers in the country who came to Athens especially for this event.

AUTODIA, which holds an 85% share in the Greek market, represents a large, important commercial and timeless Greek repertoire, as well as the entire international repertoire in the country, having signed representation agreements with more than 80 sister societies, as well as membership agreements with all major music publishers.

UHCC represents the entire business world of the country in Greece and abroad, having as members 59 Chambers -Commerce, Industry, Craft and Professional- operating throughout the country.

The businesses - members of the Chambers that will come to the Collective Agreement, will benefit from discounts and payment arrangements, always in the context of mutual respect and good faith between the two entities.
