On February 10, two of the country's most well-known and recognized jazz bands will perform. The Festival’s curtain will open with Giorgos Kontrafouris and his trio, while Dimitris Kalantzis with his quartet will present us his new project "United States of mind" with original and debuting original compositions and arrangements. Alexis Delis (bass), Sotiris Douvas (drums) and Dimitris Tsakas (saxophone) will perform with him.
On February 11, Human Touch - Stavros Lantsias, David Lynch & Giotis Kiourtzoglou - together with two multi-dimensional musicians, Melina Paxinou and Stathis Anninos, will be performing three hours!

Melina Paxinos Quartet will emphasize her rich record work and along with her will be Yiannis Papadopoulos on piano, Grigoris Theodoridis on double bass and Dimitris Klonis on drums.

The dark and foggy London of the 19th century is revived through atmospheric soundscapes, interesting musical mixes and the sounds of piano and synthesizers. The film, produced in 1927, is one of the masterpieces of the timeless "maître of suspense" and, undoubtedly, his best silent film.

The Spiral Trio and in particular the virtuoso Spyros Manesis (piano), Arionas Gyftakis (double bass) and Anastasis Gouliaris (drums) are preparing a dynamic jazz evening with references to Manesis rich discography. On the other hand, the pianist and composer Giorgos Tsolis (piano), aloong with the superstar Cuban trumpeter Jorge Vistel, and Giorgos Maniatis (drums) and Kimon Karoutzos (double bass) will present both pieces from his new album and previous ones, favorite compositions.
On February 18, on the 2nd jazz marathon day, three groups with different sound colors and influences will give us unique moments and an ideal closing of the 1st BlackBox Jazz Music Festival. Kostas Patsiotis together with his top musicians: Yiannis Papadopoulos (piano), Michalis Tsiftsis (guitar), Dimitris Klonis (drums) will present us original compositions from the new album "October" as well as compositions from the modern jazz repertoire.
