The Society

Intellectual Property Rights are the impetus for every creative expression. It’ s the non-negotiable condition that allows creators to consent to the use of their works and to determine their course with dignity and self-determination. It’s a relation of mutual confidence between creators and society through which people discover, learn and display their music, with which they are emotionally connected and interact with in many wonderful ways, thus extending its life through time.

Autodia invites all interesting parties -composers, songwriters, lyricists, music users, public authorities- to join a dialogue of vital importance on this dynamic relation between creators and society in order to form a new framework of mutual trust and cooperation.

History - Identity - Mission

AUTODIA: The Greek accredited CMO for the protection of music rights of the local and international repertoire, operating with efficiency, transparency and accountability.

AUTODIA was founded by members of EMSE (Union of Composers and Lyricists of Greece) and was licensed by the Greek Ministry of Culture on March 6, 2003 (Government Gazette 323-18.3.2003) based on Law 2121/1993, regarding copyright and related rights.

It is the first Greek CMO of music authors, representing a huge catalogue of 26 million musical works. It manages and protects the rights of Greek and foreign composers and authors, as well as significant international music publishers, having signed reciprocal agreements with over 80 CMOs from around the world. The Organisation collects and distributes royalties from all revenue sources and is a certified partner-member of all leading international and European associations of creators’ organisations (CISAC, GESAC, BIEM).
